IBIE opens applications for Pillsbury cake decorating competition

The deadline to apply for the Retail Bakers of America’s 24th annual Pillsbury Bakers Plus Creative Cake Decorating Competition is May 31.

The winning participant will represent their country in the 2026 world final.

The first day of sessions begins Sept. 13 and will provide attendees with industry insights from an array of diverse topics.

The two-day decorating showdown features six pairs of cake decorating professionals who face off in four categories.

Leaving the bakery for a couple of days may be a reluctant decision, but attending IBIE may be a worthwhile investment for a business’ future.

The pre-show event offers insider tips on booth setup, logistics, attracting audiences, lead generation and strategies for working with vendors.

IBIE 2025 will bolster the awards with its unique platform that attracts a broader, more diverse range of participants.

Speakers can choose to present in a classroom session, hands-on workshop, 20-minute presentation or demonstration.
