Wilton recruits Walleska Cianfanelli to scale education tools

NAPERVILLE, IL Wilton, known for its collection of bakeware and cake decorating tools, is shaking up its education program with the appointment of Walleska Cianfanelli as executive pastry chef and culinary education lead. 

“Education and innovation have always been at the core of Wilton’s mission to inspire bakers and decorators,” said Shanta McGahey, director of brand and community at Wilton. “With Walleska leading our culinary education and operations at Wilton Sweet Studio, we’re bringing that mission to life in new ways. Her experience ensures that Wilton will set the standard for innovation while helping bakers everywhere grow their skills and creativity.” 

Her background includes training in Italy, France, and the US under top pastry chefs as well as leading pastry operations at The Langham Chicago, Palmer House Hilton, and Sofitel Magnificent Mile. She’s tasked with leveraging her expertise in pastry and chocolate to craft and implement new baking classes, recipes, curriculum and techniques, providing the resources necessary for bakers and cake decorators of all experience levels to grow in the craft.
