BOSTON — PopUp Bagels’ latest location marks the start of its nationwide expansion. The bagel brand announced the grand opening of its first Boston location. This 770-square-foot shop is the first franchised location for the brand.

“Expanding to Boston is an exciting step for us,” said Adam Goldberg, founder and chief brand officer of PopUp Bagels. “This is a city with such a rich food culture and a strong sense of community, and we’re thrilled to bring something new to the table. Boston is not just another city for us — it’s the beginning of a new chapter as we continue to grow.”

To celebrate the grand opening, PopUp Bagels is bringing back its collaboration with Grillo’s Pickles exclusively at the Boston location. This brand collaboration initially debuted in November for National Pickle Day.

“PopUp Bagels brings something completely new to Boston,” said Brian Harrington, owner and operator of the Seaport location. “These bagels are about more than just great taste—they’re a whole new way to enjoy a classic. I’m excited to see how Boston embraces it.”

PopUp Bagels announced its plans for nationwide expansion in November 2024, naming Tory Bartlett as CEO to drive the brand’s new direction.
