Dawn Foods culinary executive inducted into AAC

JACKSON, MI — Dawn Foods’ culinary leader Melissa Trimmer was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs (AAC) at the American Culinary Federation (ACF) National Convention.

The AAC is a prestigious culinary society that highlights pastry chefs and their dedication to the craft. Melissa is a certified executive pastry chef with extensive experience in the field. Her induction recognizes her devotion to the baking industry and distinguished reputation as a culinary innovator.

“This well-deserved recognition underscores Melissa’s commitment and passion for culinary excellence,” said Sarah Hickey, VP of marketing at Dawn Foods. “She plays a pivotal role in providing Dawn Foods’ best-in-class expertise that our customers know and depend on.”

Melissa was also previously recognized by the ACF with the Pastry Chef of the Year award in 2022 by the association’s Michigan Chefs de Cuisine chapter. The award highlighted her dedication to educating industry members by sharing her wisdom and knowledge of the craft.

The AAC represents industry professionals and their achievements throughout their careers. The association’s mission is to promote furthered education through mentoring aspiring students and providing grants to professional chefs seeking to climb the culinary ladder.
