ASHEVILLE, NC — The 17th bi-annual Asheville Bread Festival is on the horizon, set to take place April 26-27. The two-day event connects bread enthusiasts and professional bakers to improve their baking skills, share ideas and network within the artisan bread community.
This year’s theme — “A Sense of Place” — will highlight the distinct and abundant nature of the region. The Bread Festival serves as a gathering place for bakers, millers, farmers, brewers and chefs to unite and uplift the baking community. The fest will also support those impacted by Hurricane Helene by serving as a fundraiser for western North Carolina relief efforts.
Day one of the Bread Fair will be held at New Belgium Brewery and offer a range of bread, pastries, flours and more to local and regional artisan bakers and millers. The fair will be followed by a series of hands-on workshops and lectures at various locations around Asheville and Hendersonville, NC.
Day two will consist of a six-hour master class with intensive discussions exclusive to professional bakers.
A few sponsors of the event include:
- Simply Bread Co.
- Bread Bakers Guild of America
- King Arthur
- Milk Glass Pie
- Nomad Bakehouse
- Hole Doughnuts
