Guild Certification Information Session
Jan. 7 | 4-5:30 p.m. ET
BBGA’s Certification Program is designed for bakers interested in growing and measuring their core skills. In this panel, attendees can hear about the benefits and process of the certification from recent candidates and judges. Panelists include Anja Curwen, CBB; Ben Garcia, CBB; Jen Heide, CBB; Rachel Wyman, CBB, CMB; and Melina Kelson, CBB, CVB.
Bakery Leadership Circle Info Session
Jan. 13 | 4-5 p.m. ET
This session will cover essential information about the Bakery Leadership Circle. The new cohort-based program from the Guild is designed to support bakery owners and operators through peer consulting and education to tackle business challenges.
Cottage Bakery Models with Maggie Longo, Hana Quon and Grace Garay
Jan. 14 | 4-5:30 p.m. ET
The cottage and micro-bakery model can help aspiring bakers build their businesses, but the regulations can be challenging. In this session, attendees will learn about the legal differences and restrictions between states, critical information regarding business info such as sanitation, labeling, and insurance requirements, and different models for establishing a cottage bakery and prepping for growth.
Beyond the Bench: The Next Generation of Bakers

To close out January, BBGA is joining forces with the Retail Bakers of America for a free-to-attend discussion about the needs and expectations of the incoming generation of bakers. Panelists for this event include Jen Heide, Val Kertesz and Taylor Craft.
