CHICAGO — Levain Bakery, a New York City brand best known for its chocolate chip cookies, is expanding in the Midwest with the announcement of a second location opening this fall in Chicago.

This will be the second bakery in the Windy City for the brand, with the first one opening November 2022 in West Loop.

The new bakery will be in River North and continues the brand’s brick-and-mortar expansion outside of its New York City base. Earlier this year, Levain celebrated the opening of its first California location in Los Angeles.

The bakery has eight locations in the New York City area — including its original store on 74th Street — and additional bakeries in Washington DC, Maryland and Boston.
