KANSAS CITY, MO — With Aug. 4 being National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, retail bakery brands across the country are using the occasion to connect with consumers in-person and online. From giveaways to larger-than-life installments, check out how three major cookie brands are celebrating the holiday.
To mark the occasion, the cookie brand is placing ten large chocolate chip cookie sculptures in cities across the US. Representatives for the brand will attend each of the statues starting at noon giving out free mini chocolate chip cookies to customers while supplies last. Crumbl is also offering double loyalty points for purchases made in its retail locations and through its app.
The bakery teased an in-person giveaway of 100 cookies at mystery locations across New York City by dropping clues on its Instagram and TikTok accounts over the past week. Levain also placed tear-away stubs around the city (hinted at by photos of cross sections on Instagram) that could be redeemed for a free cookie at the brand’s Pop-Up Trike from 8-10 a.m.
The Texas-based cookie delivery brand took to social media to drive engagement for National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day by releasing codes across its social media platforms for a dozen free cookies the week leading up to the holiday. With a limited number of codes released each day, customers were incentivized to keep a close eye on the brand’s pages to nab the code before they sold out.
