General Mills Foodservice debuts frozen dough for bakeries

MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills Foodservice’s latest innovation supports retail bakeries and in-store bakeries with limited time and resources.

The company’s Pillsbury Frozen Bread Dough line offers busy bakers the ability to produce fresh-baked bread without skilled labor. The variety of offerings allows bakers to create new additions to their menu.

“We want to make it easier for retail bakeries to make the high-quality bread their consumers crave with consistent texture, size and shape every time,” said Nicole Nelsen, director of retail foodservice at General Mills Foodservice. “Our line of Pillsbury rolls and doughs are all easy prep, giving operations a simplified approach to baking fresh, flavorful bread that doesn’t require any measuring of ingredients or mixing and no need for a proof box.”

General Mills Foodservice is offering eight different bread products:

  • Pillsbury Dinner Roll Dough
  • Pillsbury 4-inch Steak Roll Dough
  • Pillsbury Bolillo Roll Dough
  • Pillsbury 6-inch Hoagie Dough
  • Pillsbury Long French Bread Dough
  • Pillsbury Pre-Score Italian Bread Dough
  • Pillsbury French/Italian Bread Dough
  • Pillsbury Sourdough Bread Dough
