WAIKIKI BEACH, HI — Ladurée, a French patisserie brand best known for its double-decker macaron, is extending its reach to Hawaii for the first time through an exclusive partnership with The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach, this holiday season.
“This seasonal activation has been in development for several months, with both teams working closely to create an experience that reflects the shared values of Ladurée and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach,“ said Arthur Kint, the CEO of Ladurée US. “The collaboration has been built on a strong synergy between the two brands, united by a shared commitment to luxury, craftsmanship and exceptional guest experiences.”
Part of the luxury hotel’s 10th anniversary, the collaboration will include several guest experiences, including a holiday pop-up and The Ritz-Carlton Suite Collection Tea Experience with Ladurée, available exclusively to those staying in the three top-floor suites.
“Ladurée is an iconic brand whose dedication to craftsmanship, artistry and timeless hospitality aligns beautifully with our own,” said Mike Kass, GM of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach. “This collaboration allows us to celebrate this milestone while introducing a collection of distinctive experiences that blend French elegance with the warmth and sense of place that define our property.”
The bakery brand will offer several of its signature teas, a curated selection of macaron flavors — including pistachio, passion fruit, raspberry and orange blossom — and Eugénie, Laduree’s multi-textural creation featuring a crunchy biscuit, melted center and chocolate coating.
The Ladurée pop-up will open its doors Dec. 4 and operate throughout the rest of the year. Through this aspect of the partnership, guests will be able to enjoy macarons, Eugénies, finger pastries and more out on the hotel’s outdoor terrace. There will also be select gift boxes of macarons and Eugénies available for purchase.
“This activation reflects Ladurée’s strategy of expanding through carefully selected hospitality partnerships, introducing the Maison to new local and international audiences,” Kint said.
Ladurée is no stranger to cross-brand collaborations, previously working with artists Martin Montagut and Maison Matisse to generate buzz in an aesthetic format.
