NEW YORK — In celebration of the tapestry that is Parisian culture, Laduree partnered with French illustrator and designer Marin Montagut to create a gourmet collection of macarons in specially-decorated gift boxes.
Spawning from the collaboration, Laduree will offer two limited-edition gift boxes with macarons and Eugenie — the brand’s signature crunchy biscuit with a melting heart and chocolate coating — designed by Montagut that demonstrate a deep appreciation for Paris.
“Working with Laduree, the inventor of the French tearoom, was an obvious choice,” Montagut said. “Creating these two gift boxes was a true honor. I had a lot of fun reinterpreting Laduree’s wonderful world through the poetry of my brushes and watercolors.”
Montagut pulled inspiration from gourmet treats, historic and modern-day Paris, and the French ideation of the “art of living” to create gift box designs that reflect the iconic essence of the City of Light.
The 16-count macaron gift box features a reinterpretation of 18th-century books that could hide precious valuables, while the Eugenie 12-count gift box dons a watercolor palette with brushes, paints and pencils.
The gift boxes are available now for a limited time.
