PHILADELPHIA — Insomnia Cookies is going back to its roots as a college student’s late-night dessert haven with its annual PJ Party Night, set for Sept. 15.
Each September, as college campuses fill back up and fall routines kick into gear, customers in the US and Canada are encouraged to wear their pajamas to their closest Insomnia Cookies location for a free Classic cookie.
First held in 2019, the national PJ Party has connected the cookie brand to thousands of customers nationwide. In 2025, the event resulted in a giveaway of approximately 67,000 free cookies.
This year, 149 campus bakeries will host giveaways that include koozies, totes, pens, lip balms, sticker packs and eye patches. At 25 enhanced PJ Party bakeries, guests can spin prize wheels for additional giveaways, including Insomnia playing cards and trucker hats, while supplies last.
In addition to the cookie and swag giveaways, Insomnia is giving one college student the chance to win the Dream Dorm Giveaway, which includes free Insomnia Cookies for a year and a supply of sleep and home essentials.
