WASHINGTON, DC — The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) has been named “The Fastest-Growing Gold 100 Food Show in 2025” by Trade Show Executive (TSE). The honor is one of TSE’s 2026 Gold 100 Grand Awards.
TSE’s Gold 100 ranks the 100 largest US trade shows by net square feet of paid exhibit space, with IBIE ranked No. 27 on the 2026 list. The award was presented Sept. 23 at TSE’s Gold 100 Awards and Summit in Palos Verdes, CA.
“For bakers, a larger floor means more to compare in one trip,” said Allen Wright, IBIE 2028 chair and president of Hansaloy. “For suppliers, it means more conversations with customers who are actively evaluating what to buy next.”
The recognition follows IBIE’s announcement that it earned the Grand Award for Fastest-Growing Non-Annual Show by Blended Growth as part of TSE’s Fastest 50 Awards Class of 2025. IBIE earned the Fastest 50 award for its growth across the three core pillars: number of exhibitors, attendance and net square footage.
“The growth of IBIE reflects an industry that continuously invests, innovates and evolve,” said Eric Dell, president and CEO of the American Bakers Association (ABA), which co-owns the show with BEMA. “By bringing the entire baking community together, IBIE gives baking businesses access to the cutting-edge technologies and expertise they need to strengthen their businesses for the future.”
IBIE 2025 filled 451,100 net square feet of sold-out exhibit space, a record in the show’s 105-year history, up 9% from 2022. The 2025 show featured 1,005 exhibiting companies, including 484 first-time exhibitors. The show drew more than 19,000 attendees from 96 countries, with 88% identifying as purchasing approvers, specifiers or recommenders.
“IBIE gives equipment manufacturers and suppliers a direct view into where the baking industry is investing and what businesses need next,” said Kerwin Brown, CEO of BEMA. “Continued growth reflects the commitment companies are making to bring their latest capabilities to the industry and to IBIE.”
IBIE is held every three years. The next show returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center in 2028, with education Sept. 9-13, and the Expo Hall opening Sept. 10.
“We’re proud to have IBIE 2025 recognized by Trade Show Executive because growth at this scale doesn’t happen by standing still,” said Samantha Moore, VP, events and programming for ABA. “The baking industry keeps changing, and IBIE has to keep changing with it. That’s the mindset we’re bringing to 2028.”
