Crumbl blazes trail with Apple Vision Pro app

LINDON, UT — Crumbl’s new spatial computing app designed for Apple Vision Pro makes it the first food and beverage app running on visionOS. In launching this app, the dessert brand continues its commitment to remaining at the forefront of emerging technology. It also improves user experience for its customers by offering them more ways to engage with he brand.

“Our new app is a game-changer, designed with our customers in mind,” said Jason McGowan, CEO and co-founder of Crumbl. “I’m thrilled for them to experience its convenience and efficiency firsthand.”

The app offers customers utilizing the wearable technology a streamlined and efficient avenue to order cookies. The simplified interface uses autofill options reduce the need for typing and gives Apple Vision Pro users a simple way to order.

Other features include animations that place the cookies in the brand’s signature pink box, default delivery options and seamless payment options.

“When starting this project, we considered porting our existing iOS app to visionOS, but we learned this new platform creates a lot of new opportunities for designing and building an app,” said Colton Lemmon, senior software engineer (iOS) at Crumbl. “With new user interaction such as Apple Vision Pro’s eye tracking, we learned the importance of providing visual feedback. Because of this, we decided we could create a greater experience specifically designed for Apple Vision Pro.”

The Crumbl app, available in the App Store on visionOS, continues the company’s interest in integrating baking and technology.
