PROVIDENCE, RI — The Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA) opened applications for the 2027 Mondial du Pain Team USA.
BBGA is the official organization that selects, sponsors and sends Team USA to compete in the biennial international baking competition, which is organized by the Ambassadeurs du Pain, a French organization with a global membership, to develop younger bakers and promote the nutritional aspects of bread.
Held biennially in Nantes, France, the Mondial du Pain is one of the world’s most prestigious baking competitions, bringing together teams from around the globe to compete on technical precision, innovation, nutrition and artistic presentation.
Open positions for Team USA include:
Head Baker (Candidate): Professional baker who is at least 25 years old with at least five years of professional baking experience.
Junior Baker (Commis): Student or professional baker under the age of 23.
Coach/Advisor: Professional baker with significant production baking and/or baking education experience and prior baking competition experience.
