NEW YORK — The NYC Bakery Run is back for its second year, and this time, 10 New York bakeries have signed up to be a stop on the runners’ list.
Along the 13.1-mile route, 100 runners will weave through NYC streets, stopping at: Radio Bakery, La Cabra, Eleven Madison Park, Librae Bakery, From Lucie, Altbau Bakery, L’Appartement 4F, Hani’s Bakery, Elbow Bread and Saison Bakery.
The event is organized by Tipster, a digital food and drink platform with a growing presence in New York, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.
“Doing the unexpected creates attention,” said Simon Evers, founder of Tipster. “The NYC Bakery Run is limited to 100 runners, but its purpose is much larger. We’re directing thousands of people toward the bakeries raising the level across New York. The goal is to make people hungry for quality, curious enough to seek it out and able to experience the city differently for a day.”
The run is scheduled for Oct. 25. Participants will be immersed in the NYC food scene, trying samples of artisan croissants, cardamom buns, layer cakes and more.
