NEW YORK CITY — L’Appartement 4F, a viral Brooklyn bakery best known for its croissants, is set to open its second location in the Big Apple.

“L’Appartement 4F is crossing the Brooklyn Bridge and coming to the West Village,” said founders Ashley and Gautier Coiffard on the bakery’s Instagram page. “We just signed the lease so stay tuned while we build this location with more knowledge and wisdom than the first time.”

The bakery’s flagship location in Brooklyn Heights, which opened in May 2022, will continue operating.

“When we delivered pastries during the pandemic, we had an overwhelming amount of orders in the [West Village],” Ashley said. “I fell in love with this location as soon as we saw it, and when we heard it was James Beards’ old apartment, it was a sign.”

Moxie Bread Co. lives up to its name

Its name greatly aligns with how the bakery got to where it is today, as a newly minted Certified B Corp with three locations and a 5,000-square-foot commissary.
