WESTLAKE, OH — As the season’s temps turn to sizzling, the Retail Bakers of America (RBA) released its lineup of July events, featuring both in-person and virtual gatherings.
Take a look at a few events the association has in store.
Sweet Art Master – Wedding Cake Live Judging
July 15 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Masters Series 2026 is an international online sugar art competition open to all skill levels. Registration is open through July 1 to submit a wedding cake entry for a chance to be judged live on YouTube.
The live judging ceremony, to be held July 15, will feature expert judges evaluating entries and the awards presentation.
Conchas Demo with Chef Roger Rodriguez: Crafting Mexico’s Most Iconic Sweet Bread
July 21 | 5-6 p.m.
Conchas are more than a sweet bread; they are a core element of Mexican baking culture. In this live demo, Chef Roger will guide attendees through key techniques that create the baked good’s signature texture, structure and visual appeal. From dough development and fermentation to topping application and baking, this session focuses on consistency, execution and successfully bringing conchas into a professional bakery setting.
Business of Baking with RBA at Mexipan
July 30 | 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
RBA’s flagship Business of Baking program is traveling to Mexico for the first time as part of Mexipan 2026. This day-long intensive course gives bakers, pastry chefs and entrepreneurs the business knowledge necessary to build, manage and grow a profitable bakery.
Registration includes admission to Mexipan, simultaneous translation, and a certificate of participation issued by RBA and ANPROPAN.
