PORTLAND, OR — Voodoo Doughnut announced the continuation of its partnership with It Gets Better, an internet-based nonprofit dedicated to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community, with the return of its Pride Bar donut.
“We’re excited to bring back the Pride Bar and help amplify the impactful mission of It Gets Better and support LGBTQ+ youth,” said Chris Schultz, CEO of Voodoo Doughnut.
Available through June, the donut includes a Bavarian cream filling, vanilla frosting and rainbow hearts. Partial proceeds from these donuts will go toward It Gets Better.
“It Gets Better recognizes that the path to self-discovery looks different for everyone,” said Jimmy Ancheta-Tilley Jr., director of development for It Gets Better.” We are so grateful for the continued support of Voodoo Doughnuts as we work together to empower LGBTQ+ youth to define their own journey.”
This continues the brand’s philanthropic efforts such as the quarterly giving donut supporting the Epilepsy Foundation earlier this year and a collaboration with country singer Kane Brown benefitting the Boys & Girls Club.
