AUSTIN, TX — Cookie delivery service Tiff’s Treats teamed up with jewelry brand Kendra Scott to launch an exclusive necklace to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research.
Tiffany Chen, co-founder and chief brand operator of Tiff’s Treats, drew inspiration for the custom necklace from her sister Melinda Thomas, a breast cancer survivor.
“Melinda has been an inspiration to me throughout my life, so partnering with Kendra Scott to create a piece inspired by her strength, beauty, and fighting spirit during her cancer treatment, was a meaningful collaboration,” Chen said. “This piece means so much to our family and we want it to serve as a symbol of hope to others.”
Since the necklace was made in honor of Thomas, she was the one who selected the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to benefit from sales of the necklace. The Melinda Necklace is sold with a dozen Tiff’s Treats #cookies as a special package, with 20% of each purchase supporting the organization up to $10,000.
The Melinda Gold Short Pendant Necklace in Aqua Illusion includes a faceted stone surrounded by ornate detailing and set in 14k gold plated brass. This necklace is only available for purchase through the Tiff’s Treats website, brick-and-mortar locations and for local delivery in most of its areas.
The new necklace is the first giveback product from Tiff’s Treats and the latest in an ongoing collaboration with Kendra Scott that started just a few years ago. The bakery brand first partnered with the jewelry brand in early 2020 for Valentine’s Day.
“We were looking to expand our gift offerings for our biggest holiday of the year and reached out to the Kendra Scott team about the idea of including a pair of earrings with a warm cookie delivery gift on our site,” Chen shared. “We have long admired the Kendra Scott brand, which is simply iconic, and when it came to rounding out the perfect Valentine’s Day gift delivery, we knew this would hit the mark. The Kendra Scott team jumped at the idea and the partnership was born.”
That first collaboration, which featured a pair of blue Alex earrings from Kendra Scott in addition to cookies from Tiff’s Treats, flew off the shelves and the companies continued to collaborate each season. Eventually, the Tiff’s Treats team came together with the Kendra Scott team to create an exclusive custom shape for the bakery brand, named Muriel after Chen’s grandmother.
“Since first collaborating with Kendra Scott, we have launched an exclusive item four to five times each year and our customers and fans have grown to look forward to these collaboration launches,” Chen said. “The combination of cookies and Kendra Scott make for a perfect gift and our fans love to send these pieces to celebrate birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, graduations and everyday occasions. We recently launched a co-branded jewelry pouch that comes with each new piece of Kendra Scott x Tiff’s Treats, making them even more special as we know many customers collect these limited-edition keepsakes.”
