BOSTON — Seventeen years since its first store opening, Tatte Bakery & Cafe is making its inaugural venture into the Garden State with its latest location.
The newest store, located in Ridgewood, NJ, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 5 with the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce.
“Inspiring craft is our mission,” said Shawn Utke, CEO of Tatte. “We are investing in talented chefs, baristas and bakers. Our cafes are designed with real antiques and fixtures by artisans. We believe it’s craft that connects us and we want to create a place you can call home, close to home.”
This marks the 45th bakery for the Boston bakery, founded in 2007 by pastry chef Tzurit Or. As with other Tatte storefronts, the new location features a warm, picturesque interior and antique decor pieces.
Tatte is celebrating the opening of its Ridgewood location by matching up to $2,500 in donations for the Social Service Association of Ridgewood.
The bakery cafe’s current footprint includes the Greater Boston, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, areas.
