CHICAGO — Stan’s Donuts and Coffee, a Chicago-based donut chain known for its creative flavor pairings, teamed up with Affy Tapple, a candy apple and sweets store, for a second run of a fall-themed fair.
This year’s collaboration features the Affy Tapple Donut Hole, an apple cider donut hole covered in Affy Tapple caramel and peanuts. Combining the sweetness of a caramel apple with the fluffy texture of a Stan’s donut and the crunch of peanuts, the seasonal creation brings together two Chicagoland brands and traditional fall favorites with a multi-textural experience.
“Bringing together Stan’s Donuts and Affy Tapple has been a passion project of mine since 2020, and I’m thrilled to offer this special treat again this fall,” said Rich Labriola, founder and chief doughboy at Stan’s. “Growing up in Chicago, Affy Tapple was always a cherished fall tradition. We’re excited to share it with our customers again this season.”
A limited number of donut holes will also be offered in Affy Tapple’s packaging, finished with a co-branded sticker, exclusively at the standalone Stan’s Donuts and Coffee locations. The remaining donut holes will be displayed in bakery cases at locations around the city and sold individually on sticks. Each donut hole is priced at $2.95.
