NEW YORK — Navigating how to stand out in today’s retail market can be a challenge. The upside? There are a plethora of revenue-generating strategies worth considering.

One such example of this is cross-market collaborations. By partnering with non-bakery brands, bakers have the potential to boost foot and web traffic, increase brand awareness and add diverse revenue streams to their operations.

PopUp Bagels is no stranger to this tactic. The bagel brand has had a range of partnerships that have increased brand awareness, from schmear collabs with Mike’s Hot Honey, Grillo’s Pickles and Ferrero’s Butterfinger brand, to a team up with big-name commercial bakeries such as Mondelez’ OREO.

PopUp Bagels’ latest partnership with prebiotic soda brand poppi adds to this collection. Shirley Temple has officially joined poppi’s lineup of flavors, thus igniting a fizzy flavor-inspired schmear for the bagel shop.

The Shirley Schmear is a pink-tinged cream cheese spread featuring a cherry-forward flavor profile. The new schmear reimagines the classic beverage into a new bagel-topping product, tapping into consumer desire for nostalgic tastes with modern health benefits in a unique format.

The PopUp Bagels x Poppi limited-edition Shirley Schmear is available now through Feb. 25.
