FEDERAL WAY, WA — For Eric Cao, a Paris Baguette franchise owner, opening the bakery cafe chain’s fifth Washington state location was a dream come true. The store, which opened earlier this month, offers artisan pastries, cakes, breads and handcrafted beverages to the Federal Way community and the greater Seattle-Tacoma area.
“My wife inspired me to pursue this opportunity through her love of baking, and although she and our daughters are still in Vietnam while I prepare for the opening, every step has been worth it,” Cao said. “We’re excited to bring something fresh to the Federal Way community and create a place where people can gather over great pastries, cakes and coffee.”
Paris Baguette expects to open 1,000 locations across the US and Canada by 2030. The company’s franchise program has helped the brand expand its footprint rapidly and strengthen its presence in key markets.
“We’re on a mission to re-establish the neighborhood bakery cafe as the heart of the community across the US, and we’re excited to see Eric bring this to life in his local trade area,” said Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette.
Franchising is a strategic way for retail bakeries such as Shipley Donuts, See & Be Kitchen, Nothing Bundt Cakes and BreadHaus to expand their footprint rapidly.
