ST. LOUIS — Bakery cafe brand Panera is taking its menu to the next level with five new baked goods.
“We are continuing to transform our menu in line with guest preferences and are excited to offer even more delicious reasons to visit Panera,” said Alicia Mowder, senior VP of product strategy and insights at Panera Bread.
The new baked goods are Almond Pastry, Cherry Pastry, Cranberry Orange Slice, Coconut Maroon and Chocolate Coconut Maroon. In addition to these offerings, Panera is bringing back its Pumpkin Cookie, a shortbread cookie decorated and shaped like a pumpkin.
The brand is advancing its menu transformation, which kicked off in April, through the addition of these baked goods. The New Era menu items are designed to offer better value through enhanced portions and lower prices.
To mark the launch of its new products, Panera’s “Swicy” deal offers customers 50% off a baked good when they purchase a Spicy Fiesta Chicken Sandwich and beverage. This aligns with the flavor mashups trend forecasted for 2024.
“Our guests visit Panera for the sweet, the spicy and even the ‘swicy’, and our goal is to provide a wider range of options, flavors and variety to satisfy any craving,” Mowder continued.
