Magnolia Bakery joins Rockettes centennial celebration

NEW YORK — The Radio City Rockettes, the longest-running precision dance company in the US, is celebrating its 100th anniversary and partnering with an array of New York businesses to mark the milestone. Among them is Magnolia Bakery, a fellow New York institution lending one of its most popular offerings to the occasion.

The bakery brand created a specialty Rockettes Red Velvet cupcake to commemorate the anniversary. Composed of a red velvet cake base and vanilla buttercream frosting, the treat is topped with sanding sugar and decked out with an edible image honoring the dance group’s history.

“We’re so thrilled to work together with the Rockettes team on a limited-time, centennial-inspired cupcake,” said Sara Gramling, head of brand and community for Magnolia Bakery. “The Rockettes are an iconic part of New York City holiday traditions, and with their 100-year anniversary, we wanted to create something festive for fans to enjoy before or after catching the holiday special.”

Magnolia Bakery’s Rockettes Red Velvet cupcake is available exclusively at its Rockefeller Center storefront daily throughout the holiday season, while supplies last.
