NEW YORK — Ladurée, a French bakery brand, is bringing a taste of Netflix’s Bridgerton to customers.
Ahead of the Regency era series’ upcoming season, which comes out later this month, the French bakery brand partnered with the streaming service and Shondaland to created diamond-shaped gift boxes with two limited-edition macarons: lemon filled with honey and lemon ganache and chai tea filled with an Assam tea spiced ganache. Each macaron is decorated in the colors and motifs of the two main families featured in the show and topped with either a butterfly for the Featherington family or a doe for the Bridgerton family.
Ladurée also created individual lemon and honey cakes made with a lemon madeleine biscuit base, a bee pollen crisp, a honey-chestnut mousse, fresh lemon filling and a chocolate pollen topping.
The 14-count macaron gift boxes and cake are available exclusively at the Ladurée Soho location through June 26 for $55 and $12, respectively.
Ladurée’s Bridgerton collaboration continues a trend in the retail baking space of using pop culture and media to inspire menu offerings and attract customers.
