PHILADELPHIA — Insomnia Cookies, the late-night bakery brand, announced the appointment of Katie Seawell as chief marketing officer.

In this role, Seawell will focus on data, consumer insights and product innovation to build and elevate the Insomnia Cookies brand.

As a former executive at Starbucks Coffee Company with experience in both Fortune 500 and early-stage companies, Seawell is positioned to accelerate the growth of Insomnia Cookies. During her time at Starbucks, she transformed the marketing organization into a more digital-first approach and elevated the retail experience with the launch of Starbucks Reserve Global Roasteries.

In her most recent role as chief commercial officer for Bowery Farming, an early-stage indoor vertical farming company, Seawell helped shape and grow a new category of fresher, safer produce.

On a path of continued growth, Insomnia Cookies opened its 300th brick-and-mortar location in Seattle.
