LOUISVILLE, CO — Izzio Artisan Bakery is launching a line of premium, hand-crafted artisan breads in foodservice throughout the US.

For the past 30 years, Izzio has baked traditional-style sourdough breads using age-old techniques, allowing each loaf to ferment slowly with flavorful taste.

“I am thrilled to embark on this journey of bringing Izzio artisan breads to foodservice. The industry is ready for something new and fresh,” said David Alcott, senior VP of sales for Izzio. “We have a unique opportunity to fill a glaring void in the category with our artisan sliced program. Operators are looking for high-end bread options that address the growing expectations of the customer. Our artisan sliced program takes the ordinary to extraordinary.”

Izzio’s foodservice and distributor offerings include par-baked, traditional hearth-baked artisan breads such as baguettes, batards, focaccia, ciabatta, boules, sandwich rolls and dinner rolls. Thawing and proofing are not required, so operators can bake only what they need and serve fresh-baked freezer-to-table bread in under 30 minutes.

Izzio Artisan Bakery has also released a line of high-end, thaw-and-serve artisan sliced breads to meet growing customer demand. The sliced breads are available in three flavors: San Francisco Sourdough, Multigrain and Rustic Italian.
