SEATTLE — As part of its transformation plan, Starbucks Coffee Co. released a new collection of products to fortify its bakery menu.

“We’re not chasing trends,” said Tressie Lieberman, global chief brand officer of Starbucks. “We’re building on a beloved platform and never giving customers a reason to go anywhere else.”

Throughout the year, the coffee giant will unveil globally inspired bakery items into its more than 41,000 storefronts around the world.

This revamped strategy includes the addition of six baked goods currently available at participating US stores:

  • Dubai Chocolate Bite – In line with the viral Dubai chocolate trend, this tart includes a shortbread crust, kataifi pistachio cream filling, chocolate drizzle and pistachio crumbles.
  • Cookie Croissant Swirl – Each croissant swirl is made with real cocoa and decorated with chocolate streusel and chocolate cookie pieces.
  • Berry Blondie – White chocolate and raspberry and blueberry jam come together for a sweet and fruity dessert experience.
  • Strawberry Matcha Loaf – The brightly colored loaf slices feature real matcha and strawberries glazed with a strawberry icing.
  • Yuzu Citrus Blossom – This innovation brings a citrusy flavor to the bakery case, featuring a croissant dough, yuzu cream filling and candied yuzu pieces as garnish.
  • Chocolate Pistachio Loaf – Available this winter only, the sweet bread swirls chocolate and pistachio-flavored cakes into a marble loaf, complete with pistachio piece toppings.
