DALLAS — Two family-owned, multi-generational businesses are joining forces. Farmer Direct Foods (FDF), a flour producer committed to regenerative farming, announced its latest supplier partnership with Signature Baking Co., a Dallas-based commercial bakery.

“We’re proud to support Signature Baking with a supply chain they can trace and trust,” said Steve Sewell, VP of sales, bakery and foodservice for FDF. “As more bakeries look for meaningful supplier relationships, we’re showing that flour can be more than a commodity: Great flour comes with better flavor, better nutrition and a sustainability story.”

The collaboration will expand FDF’s roster of bakeries across the central US, which includes Stone Mill Bread in Northwest Arkansas and Neighbor’s Mill Bakery and Cafe in Springfield, MO.

“As a family bakery, we’ve always believed in knowing who we do business with,” said OJ DeSouza, owner and president of Signature Baking. “Working with FDF means we can stand behind our products in a way that truly connects our customers to the people behind our ingredients.”

Through this arrangement, Signature Baking will bolster its commitment to quality as well as support American farmers and sustainable farming practices.

The partnership with FDF will also help Signature Baking access specialty flour varieties such as whole wheat and heirloom.
