NEW YORK — Breads Bakery, a New York City-based bakery famous for its chocolate babka, partnered with Martha Stewart on a limited-edition babka variety, Martha’s Good Thing Babka.
Martha’s Good Thing Babka is made with the same laminated dough as the traditional Chocolate Babka from Breads Bakery, but it differs by being filled with golden raisins and citrus zest. The final product is unlike any other traditional babka offered by Breads Bakery.
“The first time I really felt that we had something at Breads Bakery was when Martha Stewart walked through the door, shortly after we opened,” said Gadi Peleg, founder and owner of Breads Bakery. “Having her at the bakery and creating this babka with her has been a dream come true. Martha Stewart at Breads Bakery, it’s a good thing.”
The new babka collection will be available beginning May 17 at Breads Bakery locations in New York City for $17.50 a loaf and online through Goldbelly, an online marketplace for artisanal foods.
