NEW YORK CITY — The Underground Donut Tour is launching its next tour in the Big Apple that will bring donut lovers to the East Village. This new tour will be the fourth in New York City, joining Brooklyn, Time Square and Flatiron/Greenwich Village.
“There’s so much rich cultural and food history and heritage in The East Village,” said Jeff Walker, founder of the Underground Donut Tour. “We’ve chosen some of the best donut shops and bakeries around to highlight for our guests.”
The walking tour runs year-round and brings guests to four of the top donut shops in the East Village. Throughout the experience, the Underground Donut Tour enlightens guests on the history of each shop, highlights key institutions in the area such as Cooper Union, CBGB’s and more, as well as notes significant artists and activists who got their start in the historic neighborhood.
“Our team has done such an amazing job putting this tour together,” said Jenny Saldaña, New York’s manager for the Underground Donut Tour. “Along with incredible donuts and pastries, we highlight the musicians, artists, activists and outlaws that made The East Village what it is today,” said Jenny Saldaña, New York’s manager for the Underground Donut Tour.
The East Village Historic Donut Tour kicks off at Donut Pub, a longstanding New York donut shop that’s been around for over 50 years and will showcase some of its most popular flavors. Other samples will include Italian Bomboloni, TikTok-famous cardamom buns and artisan donuts on a rotational menu.
Tickets are $65 for adults and $45 for children. For additional information and the latest schedule, visit the Underground Donut Tour website.
