WESTLAKE, OH — Scott Calvert, owner of Tootie Pie Co. in Dripping Springs, TX, is taking on a new role at the Retail Bakers of America (RBA).

Previously serving as board president, he is leveraging his background across all aspects of the baking industry as RBA’s business strategies manager.

“Scott has been deeply involved with the RBA for years, and this role was shaped around his strengths,” said Marissa Sertich Velie, executive director of RBA. “He’s a natural connector — someone who understands the challenges bakers face and knows how to bring people and ideas together. Making him our business strategies manager just made sense. His energy, relationships, and insight are already helping us build a stronger future for retail baking.”

In this role, he will support the industry association’s strategic efforts to elevate retail bakeries through events such as the upcoming Baking Expo, to be held Sept. 14-17 in Las Vegas.

“At IBIE, we’re excited for Scott to be out in the community, connecting directly with allied members and suppliers,” Marissa said. “His focus is on strengthening industry partnerships and making sure our retail bakers have the support and resources they need. If you see him at the show, don’t hesitate to say hello.”
