WASHINGTON DC — Retail Bakers of America (RBA) is joining forces with the American Bakers Association and American Society of Baking in a new partnership for the Bakers Fly-In and Policy Summit, set to be held on Nov. 13-14 in Washington DC.

The event will unite baking industry leaders from all segments, including retail, wholesale and supplier organizations, to meet with Congress members, executive brand leaders and regulators to advocate for policies impacting baking operations of all sizes.

“Involving our members from the Retail Bakers of America in policy discussions is crucial as the industry evolves and expands,” said Bernadette Shanahan-Haas, executive director of RBA. “By giving them a seat at the table, their valuable insights and perspectives can contribute to shaping policies that align with the needs and challenges of brick-and-mortar bakeries on main streets across America.”

Attendees will present issues and perspectives throughout the event and promote solutions in critical areas such as workforce, nutrition and supply chain.

The summit will close out with the Bakers’ Dozen Congressional Awards Reception, which will grant RBA members the opportunity to build relationships with policymakers in attendance.
