NEW YORK — Nick and Sons, the bakery behind one of New York’s top croissants, announced the opening of its third location in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood.

In 2017, Nick and Sons bakery started out as a small, walk-up window in Williamsburg open only on weekends. With support from the community, the bakery’s founders, Nicholas Heavican and Nick Brophy, opened a second location in 2021 in the Jersey Shore.

After two years of searching for the right location, the Brooklyn bakery expanded into Greenpoint, NY. The new Nick and Sons bakery is built with an open kitchen and designed to pay homage to Icelandic bakeries, where Heavican was originally inspired to bake with sourdough.

The new Nick and Sons location will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bakery’s offerings include several croissants in flavors such as za’atar, almond, and Everything as well as cardamom buns, fruit tarts, baguettes and biscuits. The Greenpoint location will also offer margherita and soppressata pizzas.
