HUNT VALLEY, MD — To celebrate the holiday season, McCormick & Co. is partnering with bakery brand Milk Bar and its James Beard award-winning chef and founder, Christina Tosi.
Together, Milk Bar and McCormick created a limited-time Candy Cane Pretzel Bark Cookie. The minty, sweet-salty cookie is topped with festive, red sanding sugar, and features McCormick’s Pure Vanilla and Peppermint Extracts.
The collaboration will give also a traditional holiday dessert exchange a modern twist, with McCormick engaging customers in a quest for the best cookie recipe. Bakers of all scales are invited to enter the McCormick Cookie Quest for a chance to win a grand prize of $10,000.
“When it comes to baking in my home kitchen and the Milk Bar kitchen, from the classics like vanilla and peppermint extracts to cinnamon and pumpkin pie spices, McCormick makes it all possible,” Christina said. “I love to be inspired by others and their imaginations and taste buds, how they see the same ingredients differently. That’s why I’m pumped to help McCormick bring the modern-day cookie recipe exchange to life.”
To enter the McCormick Cookie Quest, customers can post their original recipe to Instagram and tag the McCormick Spice account with the hashtags #McCormickCookieQuest and #Contest from November 19-December 8. Participants will be judged on originality, presentation, clarity, brand fit, taste and holiday spirit.
Stand-out submissions and the cookie quest winner may also be featured on the McCormick website and across the brand’s social media channels. The winner will be announced around Dec. 19.
