BROOKLYN, NY — Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop, a woman-owned bakery business, is expanding into its first brick-and-mortar store.
“I never thought that I would have the opportunity to open a brick-and-mortar store but once everything lined up, I knew it was time to take this leap,” said Susan Palmer, founder of Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop. “We have been shipping baked goods to doorsteps nationwide for a decade, and it brings me an immense amount of joy to celebrate this major milestone during our 10th year in operations.”
The shop is located in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood, and its Nov. 1 soft opening aligns with the New York City Marathon, taking place Sunday, Nov. 3.
“I am so proud to be opening a store in such a beloved Brooklyn neighborhood, one that has played an important role in my life for the last twenty years,” Susan continued. “Little Red Kitchen is looking forward to getting to know the Park Slope community and helping bring smiles to their faces with our sweet treats.”
The shop features an open-concept kitchen and will use kosher ingredients and practices for the production of its assorted baked goods. Little Red Kitchen’s offerings will include New York staples such as soft pretzels and black and white cookies; varying rotating sweet goods such as cookies, cookie pies, brookies, challah, babka and cinnamon rolls; and a wide range of gluten-free and vegan products.
Susan began Little Red Kitchen in 2014 as an e-commerce site, selling handmade baked goods and offerings such as cookie bouquets, cookie-making kits and monthly subscriptions.
