PHILADELPHIA — What started as a Philadelphia bakery pop-up with consistent queues has now officially expanded with a brick-and-mortar location. Manna Bakery, located in Philly’s Fishtown neighborhood, now occupies a 2,800-square-foot space and will be open Thursday-Sunday, with expanded hours expected to come later this fall.
Saif Manna, chef and owner of the bakery, created his menu around Levantine- and Palestinian-inspired pastries, blending traditional techniques with seasonal ingredients.
“My purpose in baking has always been rooted in sharing Palestinian traditions and telling our story through food,” Saif said. “Opening Manna Bakery in Fishtown is an opportunity to bring the flavors, memories and hospitality I grew up with to a wider community.”
Signature menu items will attract both sweet and savory seekers, with offerings such as Brioche Maarouk Buns, seasonal manakeesh, Basque cheesecake, cookie tarts, shortbread and more.
“Every pastry is inspired by family recipes, cultural traditions and the belief that food can connect people across backgrounds,” he continued. “We’re excited to create a space where guests can experience Palestinian culture in a way that feels both authentic and welcoming.”
Manna Bakery will also have a full-service coffee bar to complement the pastry case, in addition to a curated retail selection of Levant spices and wares, and a separate back room intended for future workshops, classes and private events.
