General Mills Foodservice names 2024 Biskies Contest winner

MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills Foodservice announced Rebecca Thomas, a chef at Dixie Grill in Live Oak, FL, as the winner of the 2024 Biskies Recipe Contest.

The Biskies Recipe Contest prompts operators to create an original recipe featuring any Pillsbury biscuit product for a chance to win the $20,000 grand prize. Rebecca’s winning creation, Strawberry Cream Biscuit Bites, was one of four recipe finalists nationwide.

The recipe included deep-fried Pillsbury biscuits filled with strawberry cream cheese, topped with fresh strawberries, more cream cheese and a dusting of powdered sugar.

“Rebecca’s Strawberry Cream Biscuit Bites are sure to be a people-pleaser with the combination of fresh strawberries and indulgent cream cheese in fun, bite-sized biscuits,” said Kevin Relf, a member of The Chefs of the Mills who helped judge this year’s entries. “Each of this year’s finalists showcased how biscuits can be the foundation for a variety of unique menu items that work across dayparts.”

The Biskies Recipe Contest runners-up each received $5,000:
