AUSTIN, TX — Favor Delivery, a restaurant delivery app for Texas residents, announced the winners of its Best in Texas 2024 awards. The winning restaurants hail from cities including Corpus Christi, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
The winners were selected based on hospitality, delivery times and customer service. Of the 36 total restaurant winners, 5 bakeries were awarded in the dessert category.
In addition to receiving a Best in Texas plaque for their restaurants, this recognition includes placements in the Favor app, discounted delivery fees and additional promotions across Favor’s marketing channels.

The Baked Bear
Opened in 2013 by Rob Robbins and Shane Stanger, The Baked Bear specializes in baked-from-scratch cookies and brownies for its original ice cream sandwiches.
This Austin-based bakery offers cookie flavors such as Chocolate Chip, Cookie Monster, Cookies and Cream, Funfetti, Gooey Butter Cake, Nutella Chocolate Chunk, and Snickerdoodle along with vegan and gluten-free Chocolate Chip.
Sugarbakers
Located in Corpus Christi, this bakery features a wide array of baked offerings including decorated cakes and seasonal pies.
Highlights of its menu include holiday pie flavors such as Strawberry Rhubarb, Banana Cream, Pumpkin, Coconut Meringue and Chocolate Espresso.
Sugarbakers also offers custom cake and cookie orders for various celebrations.
Wow Donuts and Drips
On a mission to bring the classic donut to the modern customer, Wow Donuts and Drips offers a unique combination of donuts and pastries.
Traditional donut flavor offerings include Glazed, Sprinkles and Frosted. The more creative offerings are Biscoff Creme, Chocolate Bavarian, French Toast, PB&J, Blueberry Cheesecake and Maple Bacon. The Dallas-Fort Worth-based bakery also offers mochi donuts in flavors such as Strawberry Coconut, Matcha Cream Cheese, Mango and Pink Blossom.
Wow Donuts and Drips’ menu also features a few pastries, including Apple and Blueberry fritters, sticky buns and cream cheese-glazed cinnamon rolls.
Dessert Gallery Bakery and Cafe
Sara Brook opened this Houston staple in 1995. Dessert Gallery is known for its wide range of dessert offerings, from cakes and pies to brownies and cupcakes.
Popular cake and pie flavors include Coconut Cream cake, French Silk pie, Italian Cream cake, Smores pie, Butter Pecan cake and Strawberry Dream cake.
Dessert Gallery also sells unique offerings such as ‘Brookies’, ‘Carr-oat’ Whoopie Pie and Sandtarts.
Bird Bakery
With four brick-and-mortar locations, Bird Bakery is a San Antonio-based bakery that was opened to pay homage to owner Elizabeth Chamber’s grandmother.
Specializing in comfort desserts, Bird Bakery sells mini pies, cheesecakes, cobblers, cookies, bars, brownies, custom cakes and cupcakes.
