Crumbl capitalizes on demand for workplace catering

BOSTON —  To meet growing interest for catered offerings in work settings across the US, Crumbl announced its partnership with ezCater, the leading food tech platform for workplaces.

A recent ezCater survey found that 76% of US workers enjoy small treats during their shifts at least once a week and 30% indulge daily, with cookies listed as one of the top desserts chosen. With ezCater’s nationwide reach, Crumbl franchises can engage high-value customers and further capitalize on the demand for indulgent workplace snacking.

“Joining forces with ezCater will not only satisfy the cravings of workplaces but also give our franchisees new sales opportunities within their local communities,” said Grace Chadwick, COO of Crumbl. “This partnership presents a tremendous opportunity for Crumbl to diversify and expand our off-premise channel by bringing our iconic cookies to new business customers everywhere.”

Crumbl’s dessert offerings are now available on ezCater’s website and its respective app for meetings, holiday parties, staff celebrations, and other occasions.

Franchisees will have access to ezCater’s Catering Growth Platform, a solutions-focused platform designed to help restaurants get valuable, incremental catering orders and manage their operations. It combines online ordering with catering management software to deliver reliable solutions and unparalleled customer service.

“We know that Crumbl’s iconic pink box of cookies will be a hit in workplaces,” said Kaushik Subramanian, chief revenue officer at ezCater. “In fact, in our recent survey, workers told us that cookies are one of their top three treats at work. We’re excited to help this fan-favorite brand scale their catering operations and reach workplace customers across the US.”

The partnership allows Crumbl to also participate in little treat culture, a growing trend that grants permissible indulgence within daily snacking. The trend has become an office norm, especially among younger employees. According to that same survey from ezCater, 53% of workers seek out small food treats for energy, 42% as a reward, and 37% for stress relief.
