KANSAS CITY, MO — The Craft to Crumb website was named Website of the Year at the 2024 Azbee Awards of Excellence, presented by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).

“It’s pretty amazing to think that Craft to Crumb is just a little more than a year old, and it’s already named Website of the Year,” said Joanie Spencer, editor-in-chief of Craft to Crumb. “It’s a testament to the hard work of Jordan Winter, our creative director, who not only designed the Craft to Crumb brand but also built the website. This is also a testament to our incredible editorial and multimedia teams, who consistently create high-quality and compelling digital content every day.”

Craft to Crumb won in the Overall Excellence category. The title was one of three Website of the Year finalists.

Judges’ notes included a statement about the website’s “excellent mix of written, video and podcast content.” The judges also called out the “great coverage of industry news” and lauded Craft to Crumb’s video content, noting the “high-quality videos with foodie and chef talent” and the focus on enhancing industry education and knowledge.

“We are grateful to be recognized on a national scale for the quality of our media for the baking industry,” said Paul Lattan, president of Avant Food Media. “Thanks to ASBPE for this prestigious award — the first major win for the brand and our company since our launch in 2023 — and I applaud the hardworking members of our editorial, multimedia and creative teams for their efforts in making Craft to Crumb Website of the Year.”

Earlier this year, Commercial BakingCraft to Crumb’s sister publication and Avant Food Media’s flagship title, received two Regional Azbee Awards recognitions: a Gold Award in the Online — Podcast category for Season 9 of the Troubleshooting Innovation podcast, which features Darlene Nicosia, CEO of Hearthside Food Solutions, and a Silver Award in the Print — Special Issue or Supplement category for the 2023 Innovations Annual.
