CRANSTON, RI — The Bread Bakers Guild of America’s education lineup is featuring something sweet this December.

The association is partnering with the National Honey Board to explore the uses of honey in baking during a virtual tasting session. Honey adds depth of flavor, boosts functionality in doughs and batters, and offers a natural ingredient for customers to rely on. Keith Seiz, ingredient marketing representative, will lead the session.

The event, set for Dec. 1 from 5:00-6:30 pm ET, will be held over Zoom and will cover:

–  Varietals and flavor profiles

–  The bees and process behind honey production

–  Practical applications for baking

Participants will receive a honey tasting kit to sample during the session. Registration is required by Nov. 18 to receive the kit, though members are welcome to join without it. Member registration is $15; non-member registration is $30.
