CRANSTON, RI — Following the launch of its Building Blocks series, the Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA) announced Pilares de la Panificación, the Spanish version of the virtual education session.
The Spanish-language program is designed to provide aspiring and professional bakers with an in-depth understanding of essential baking techniques.
“We are incredibly excited to launch this initiative,” said Melina Kelson, CMB, education and events manager for BBGA. “Our goal is to ensure that every baker can grow professionally and contribute to baking. Pilares de la Panificación will serve as a valuable resource for the Spanish-speaking baker community and help connect the guild with bakers from all over the world.”
Available exclusively online, the classes will be led by Katherine Cruz, a professional chef and pastry chef who is part of Red Brick Consulting. The live virtual classes will run from 4-5 p.m. on the following dates:
- Steps in Baking | Sept. 30
- Ingredients & their Functions | Oct. 14
- Baker’s Math | Oct. 28
- Mixing Styles | Nov. 11
