LAS VEGAS — As a Vegas-born company, Pinkbox Doughnuts makes sure to engrain itself in its community and does so with more than just its donut offerings.
The donut chain’s mascot, Pinky, joined a parade of local leaders to escort young students across the crosswalk at Thiriot Elementary School, calling for increased school zone safety awareness.
“Children are our favorite customers at Pinkbox Doughnuts,” said Judith Perez Siegel, EVP of Pinkbox Doughnuts. “When we heard in the first month of this current school year, we wanted to join our community to raise awareness about school zone safety.”
Hundreds of kids gathered for photos with Pinky, who supported to children as they walked safely to school. Pinky also passed out Pee Weez donut holes to each student.
“We thought Pinky would be a great ambassador to raise awareness and bring some smiles to the students as they walk to school,” Perez Siegel added.
