NORWICH, VT — After becoming a well-known staple in the DMV area following a 2024-26 pop-up in Fairfax, VA, King Arthur Baking Co. announced the opening of a permanent store and baking school location nearby in Alexandria, VA.

Opening this fall, the new location at 617 King St. will be the company’s first dual retail/baking school outside of Vermont, bringing hands-on baking education, ingredients and resources to the heart of Old Town. It joins the Norwich, VT, location and Skagit Valley, WA, baking school.

Featuring a dedicated school and event space, the Alexandria location will give the brand the ability to host birthday parties, private events, and community gatherings in addition to classes and demos. The store represents the latest tactic in King Arthur’s retail strategy and mission to deliver superior products.

From baking essentials and mixes to tools and kitchen appliances, the retail store will provide shoppers with the resources for their baking needs, whether for home baking, cottage operations or an established storefront.

For more information on the new space, visit the King Arthur Baking website.
