Behind the scenes at Fareway Bakery in Winterset, IA, the bakery crew performs many tasks by hand for a from-scratch aesthetic. Trays of Scotcheroos, Magic Bars and other bar-type products are portioned by hand by well-trained crew members. Depending on the the number of trays, the prep work could take up to an hour.
