RICHMOND, BC — Unifiller, a brand of Coperion Food, Health & Nutrition (FHN), is hosting a grand opening event at its new facility in Richmond, British Columbia, featuring an appearance from celebrity baker Buddy Valastro, also known as the Cake Boss.

Scheduled for March 24, the event will include interactive demonstrations and tours of the Unifiller shop floor and Technology Center. As the guest of honor, Valastro will bring together innovation and creativity in bakery operations through live product demonstrations and cake-decorating activities.

The facility’s new location underscores Coperion’s investment in global manufacturing and customer support for Unifiller technologies. It also strengthens logistics connectivity for Unifiller’s North American and international customers.

“Bringing the Unifiller team together under the Coperion brand at this new facility supports closer collaboration, consistency and long-term customer support,” said Matt Craig, president of Coperion FHN. “The Richmond site reflects Coperion’s continued investment in Unifiller technologies, innovation and customer proximity.”

At the event, Craig will highlight the team’s seamless transition to its new location and reinforce the company’s commitment to innovation by spotlighting the brand’s newest tech. This includes the HIRO (Highly Intuitive Robot Operator) cake decorating robot, MultiStation with Hopper Topper, and an RP (Rotary Piston) Depositor.

Craig and other guests will also compete in the “Unifiller Olympics,” featuring a tabletop assembly challenge, cake decorating competition and batter filling challenge using Unifiller products, including the ELF 400 Depositor, the Cake-o-Matic 100i, the iSpot and the HIRO.

Customers, associates, media representatives and local officials are invited to attend and visit the Richmond facility.

“The new facility signifies our commitment to innovation and excellence and represents a tremendous milestone for our dedicated associates,” said Martin Murphy, GM of finished desserts and meal solutions for Coperion. “It creates a dynamic environment where collaboration can flourish, ultimately allowing us to better serve our customers with cutting-edge technologies and seamless support.”
